Unknown and Unexpected Factors that Cause Weight Gain and Interfere with Weight Loss

There are many things that no one tells you about that can impact weight. Its FAR more than just calories in and calories out. You can be doing all of the “right” things and still have issues. These include spiritual factors also (read to the end). They are individual and different for everyone and include:

Intense or too frequent workouts without enough rest and recovery. These can keep cortisol high, which causes us to store fat and resist losing.

Working out too late in the day. Also increases cortisol making it more difficult to sleep.

Not enough sleep

Constant, underlying stress

Environmental chemicals that disrupt hormones and can interfere with our ability to detox excess hormones

Hormone imbalances at any age. I needed estrogen replacement in my late 20’s. Also things like progesterone intolerance

Lack of ability to detox, process, or methylate properly which can cause hormones like estrogen to build up

Hormone replacement at doses that are too high or not an optimal delivery system for your body

Histamine intolerance and gut imbalances, including constipation

Side effects of many different types off medications, including ones with hidden steroids

Undiagnosed thyroid problems, rarely detected with traditional testing

Vitamin D, iron and other deficiencies

Needing to be grounded to the earth or to be present in the body, especially if you have experienced trauma or are an empath.
