The Many Benefits of Vagus Nerve Stimulation
Stimulation of the vagus nerve has been shown to have many benefits including help for depression, anxiety, epilepsy, long covid, inflammation, pain, and gut and brain health. This article talks about stimulation using an implanted device but there are many things you can do without the trouble and expense of surgery.
A few examples are: Breathing exercises, cold water immersion, singing and humming, massage, laughter, eating fiber, exercise including HIT, and meditation and mindfulness
What is Blooming in My Yard
This fast growing vine in my Jacksonville Florida, zone 9B yard is part of a variety of ipoema. I am in love with it! When it is not actively blooming, the buds look like dark maroon berries. It has been blooming for months and I’m anxious to see how long they last.

Who is Visiting My Yard?
This cute little guy is an invasive Cuban tree frog. Unfortunately, they are eating the native species of frogs, toads, lizards and even small snakes. They can get as large as a human hand and are poisonous to dogs and cats as well as being irritating to human skin. Wish they weren’t so adorable!
