Flourish and Grow
A Monthly Newsletter for Inspiration, Information, and Wellness by Katie Beecher, LPC, Medical & Spiritual Intuitive

A Note from Katie
Hi Everyone,
I hope you had a wonderful summer and found time for rest, connection, and joy. September is here already, bringing with it a sense of new beginnings and fresh energy.
I wanted to share this photo I took in my garden… a simple but powerful reminder of transformation, resilience, and the beauty that comes from allowing ourselves to grow in the right environment. These are the same principles I bring into my work: helping you connect with your intuition, create supportive boundaries, and move toward healing in ways that feel natural and life-giving.
See below for what’s new, I’m so glad you’re here! 💜
With love,
Katie
Healing Isn’t a Full-Time Job
I get it. If you don’t put 100% of your time and energy into treatment, research, controlling what you eat, going on social media, trying to figure out what caused you to be sick, etc you won’t heal, right? I can tell you without a doubt that this is wrong.
I hear about this all the time from people, frustrated by all of the energy, time and money they have spent but they still aren’t better. They are stuck in control and anxiety mode, with illness impacting everything they do and think about.
As I wrote about in Heal from Within, my own healing from Lyme, mold, bulimia, and depression started when I got off of the anxiety and control train. I wasn’t put on this earth to be a 24/7 patient, stripped of all joy, missing loving human (and animal) interactions, and lacking connection to my intuition and my body.
I learned that I could attend to my healing without it becoming my full time job and even more importantly, my identity.
Not only did I heal faster but the general quality of my life greatly improved, even though I couldn’t do everything I wanted to perfectly. I can give you support and teach you how to do this too!
You deserve to heal while still living full, if you’re ready to step off the anxiety and control train, I’d love to support you in finding a more balanced, joyful path forward.

Featured Article: Finding the Gift and Gratitude in My Greatest Struggle
At 16, bulimia consumed my life and nearly ended it.
What felt like an endless cycle of shame and secrecy slowly became the turning point that helped me discover my voice, my intuition, and my purpose.
Today, I can look back with gratitude, not for the pain itself, but for the lessons it gave me: self-acceptance, connection, and the chance to live and work in alignment with who I truly am.

Trust Your Body, Trust Your Intuition
Sadly, I’ve heard it all. Not only from the people who work with me, but from doctors during my own health struggles.
Sometimes, it even happens with alternative practitioners. It’s wrong, it’s damaging, and it makes me furious. I can’t imagine treating people this way, which is one of the reasons I wrote my book.
Fortunately, I kept listening to my body and my intuition, and I pushed forward until I finally got the answers and support I needed. That same trust is what I now help others cultivate.
You know your body better than anyone. Being dismissed, talked down to, or made to feel “crazy” is not okay. If you’re tired of not being heard and are ready for compassionate support, I invite you to make an appointment through my website.
Mental Health in the News
Scientists at Harvard Medical School have found that lithium, long used as a mood stabilizer, may play a vital role in protecting the brain from Alzheimer’s and age-related decline.
Naturally present in small amounts in the body, lithium is also found in foods like nuts, leafy greens, legumes, turmeric, and certain mineral waters.
Please note: this research does not mean lithium supplements should be used.
Read the full article and explore what this discovery could mean for the future of brain health.

Empaths, Boundaries, and Healing
Understanding someone’s pain doesn’t mean you have to accept harmful behavior. In fact, tolerating it can sometimes enable the cycle to continue. You can love and support others while still protecting your own well-being.
Boundaries are not selfish, they are a gift to both you and those you care about. In Heal from Within, I share tools and techniques to help you find the courage to set those boundaries with compassion.
Have you found ways to set boundaries in your own life? I’d love to hear your thoughts 💖
